Lectured in Kogakuin University Evening Seminar
This study meeting was held two times for the member of society, it assumes "Design of light" to be a theme.
Lectured "Learn the lights" on June 8, and "Think about the lights" on June 15.
They have high concerns for lighting located closely to their life, earnest attendance students of more than 230 participated every time.

Daito Bunka University Itabashi campus completion
At last, "Person and environment friendly city type campus" improvement project that had started in 2000 was completed (architectonics: Ben Nakamura and Yamamoto-Hori Architects).

Restaurant "Komorebi" completion
It takes about one hour from Hokkaido Tokachi-Obihiro Airport by cars.
This restaurant was built as a separate building of Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel.
The buiding is one-storied and fan-shaped (architectonics: Atelier ZO).
Reiko Chikada designed lightings to let everybody enjoy their foods with seeing sylvan night views.

Won IEIJ Good Lighting Design Award
Kyushu National Museum outward appearance illuminations (architectonics: Kikutake Architects and Kume Sekkei Co., Ltd.), Honda Wako Building (architectonics: Kume Sekkei Co., Ltd.). These two projects won IEIJ (The Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan) Good Lighting Design Award.
The former received high acclaim for new usage of LED for tunnel lighting and plaza lighting. The latter also received high acclaim for development of new garden lights that combines solar battery with LED. |

Retem Corporation Tokyo Factory won the 4th Yoshinobu Ashihara prize
Industrial abandonment was assumed to be the theme, the extremely unique building facade and waste management machines were expressed as objet of the lights. (architectonics: O.F.D.A Associates)

'Cocone Kamifukuoka' was completed. It is a commercial establishment constructed as part of the redevelopment of the front of Fukuoka Station of Tojyo Line (architectonics: Urban Renaissance Agency Saitama Regional Branch).
The building wall of five stories plays an important role for spectacle in station plaza, Reiko Chikada designed unifying lights as the portal of Kamifukuoka by producing the wall by the lights that changes its themes every month. |

Aichi Prefecture Toyota-shi Station westward pedestrian deck : shelter repair work completion
The lighting gate and the floor lighting on the deck changes when the sensor perceives the person's traffic.
The lighting city axis of Toyota City was completed with Toyota-shi Station East Square, Toyota Ohashi Bridge, and Toyota Stadium those were completed last year.

Chikada won IESNA Paul Waterbury Award of Excellence
Chikada visited New York as an IESNA Paul Waterbury Award of Excellence winner. Chikada won this award for the Heart Island, Shinden Ichibangai project. (Urban Renaissance Agency Tokyo Downtown Office) Details here.
