General opening of Kyushu National Museum


Kyushu National Museum that is built in Fukuoka Prefecture Dazaifu City was opened. (architectonics: Kikutake Architects and Kume Sekkei) It is the fourth National Museum following Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara, and it attracts attention as new cultural base in Fukuoka. Following an internal lighting, the lighted tunnel that connected to Dazaifu Temmangu and outward lighting were completed.

Mr. W.J.M.van Bommel lectured about "Lighting for work: a review of visual and biological effects". After the lecture, the panel discussion was done.

Urbain Nanba West


At the work of this multifamily housing which was built in Osaka Namba, we used LED (Light Emitting Diode) for the eaves line, the entrance of the building, the entrance of each house, and used LED with the solar battery which brightness turns into like a firefly at random on the wall of the parking lot ridge. These bring the greatest effect with very small electricity. (architectonics: Urban Renaissance Agency)
