Akita Arts Theater Mille Has

The lighting concept was (1) to highlight the wood-related materials and traditional techniques used in the building with light in order to convey the charm of Akita to visitors, and (2) to maintain the historic appearance of the castle ruins, we decided to emphasize the light that floods between the horizontal eaves of the lobby and other low-rise areas, and to limit the light cast to just enough to show the outlines of the building.
