"UENO 3153" open

Saigo Hall was renovated after half a century since its opening in 1952 just after the world war II in a burnt-out field in front of Ueno station, Tokyo. (Architects: MHS Planners, Architects & Engineers Ltd.)
Reiko Chikada Lighting Design Inc. designed the illumination of the building, roof-top garden, and the Saigo Statue.
The statue is illuminated with a LED floodlight mounted on a 12m pole placed in the roof-top garden adjacent to Ueno Park.
The lighting color changes in three steps depending on time: evening sun, white, and moonlight white.
