ES Illumination Awards and IEIJ Good Lighting Award

Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Renovation, SHARE Yaraicho, and Bungotakada City Library received Award of Merits, IES Illumination Awards 2013. Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Renovation also received IEIJ Good Lighting Award 2013.

Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Renovation

It is a renovation work of Tokyo's most renowned art and cultural facility. (Architectural design and general management: MHS Planners, Architects & Engineers Ltd., Design and theater design cooperation: KOHYAMA ATELIER). The 7 floor-height atrium became glamorous with our lighting design. LED spotlights suspended from above effectively illuminate the floor, and the LED narrow spotlights sharply accentuate the truss structures.

SHARE Yaraicho

It is an ensemble of working and residence spaces: furniture studio/lavatory (1F), private rooms/toilet (2F), and kitchen/lounge (3F). (Architectural design: Spatial Design Studio)

Bungotakada City Library

This local library is expected to become a study place for children and a place for social occasions of the elderly and young parents. Not only functional library lighting for a wide age range, but also friendly and exciting lighting design were requested. (Architectural design: Mikami Architects)
