Kanazawa Station Groundwater Pond and Sculpture Floodlight Lighting Experiment

A lighting experiment was conducted for the Kanazawa Station underground water view pond and sculpture projection lighting, which is scheduled to be developed as part of Kanazawa City's R7 nighttime landscape action program.
Since the surface of this waterscape pond is dark even during the daytime, we wanted to artificially generate fog and illuminate the entire pond by shining light on the fog.
The locations for floodlighting the sculptures were determined with the utmost care to avoid glaring light in the line of sight of people walking around the sculptures, and this will be reflected in future designs.
