Summary

It is a renovation of a chapel that was originally designed in 1963 by Antonin Raymond who once worked with Frank Lloyd Wright. The architectural renovation concept was to inherit the Raymond’s design and to keep it as a symbolic architecture over the next 50 years. The major lighting problem before the renovation was the lack of illuminance level during the school classes. The school especially requested to secure a high illuminance level. In addition, we regarded the need for programmed lighting scenes corresponding to the various chapel uses. We solved those problems, while maintaining its calm and solemn atmosphere.
